BALI, Indonesia, August 22, 2026 — The 2026 AI Creator Festival (Wan | VivaReel AI Creator Conference) concluded on August 22 at the Mulia Resort in Nusa Dua, Bali. Held under the theme “Imagination Without Limitation”, the event brought together AI creators, developers, investors, and local creative industry leaders from around the world to explore the latest advances in AI video generation and their far-reaching impact on the content creation industry.
The event culminated in the inaugural AI Creator Festival Awards ceremony. Centred on the theme “LOVE”, the competition invited creators worldwide to use AI technology to tell emotional stories that transcend language, culture, and geography. Following jury deliberation, seven creators were honoured: one first-prize winner, two second-prize winners, three third-prize winners, and one special award recipient.
In her opening remarks, Summer Li, Founder and CEO of VivaReel, welcomed attendees and outlined the company’s vision for an AI video creation ecosystem. Invoking a manifesto of rational optimism written by a founding father of quantum computing, she extended the infinity of knowledge into the infinity of the moving image. Tobias Bauer, General Partner and Co-founder of TBV, shared his observations on investment trends and the global startup landscape in AI-powered content creation.
Rounding out the program, Nadia Vega, acclaimed Indonesian actress and Partner & Principal at Motions V, presented a special session.
Wan3.0 Technology: Multimodal Inputs Push Video Generation Forward
Wan3.0 is Alibaba’s latest-generation AI video generation model, which entered public beta in early August 2026 via Alibaba Cloud’s Model Studio and Qwen Cloud. The model supports single-generation video output of up to 30 seconds and accepts multimodal inputs including text, images, audio, video, web pages, and documents, delivering further improvements in character consistency and visual realism.
