Born in 1992 in Chikkanahalli, a small village in Magadi Taluk, Karnataka, Raj Gowda’s journey into the world of crypto began with humble beginnings. Raj was raised in a farming family as the youngest of three children, surrounded by simplicity and strong family values.
Raj pursued a B.A. in Journalism from SVP HKES College, Sadashivanagar, Bengaluru, which gave him a strong foundation to develop a key skill that would later define his work.
After graduating, he spent nearly a decade working in administrative roles across several multinational corporations, including IBM, Accenture, Labcorp, Foterra, YouGov, and Colliers. These years provided corporate exposure, process discipline, and a structured way of thinking—skills that would later translate well into market analysis and financial education.
Raj has a cutting edge in ability to simplify complex information and communicate it with clarity. His entry into cryptocurrency came much earlier than others, around 2016, when crypto markets were just a collection of speculators and occasional serious investors.
Without access to guidance, Raj’s eagerness to invest in crypto saw him enter the market without adequate knowledge. Things turned soon sour, when he faced the harsh reality of crypto markets (during the 2017–2018 cycle). Raj faced a major loss of ₹3 lakh on his portfolio when Bitcoin dropped almost 80% from its peak. The loss became a defining moment in his career, giving birth to a phase of explosive growth. Rather than completely stepping away like others, Raj painstakingly undertook the path to learn from his naivety.
By 2019, he emerged as a more disciplined investor with a long-term mindset. He soon revisited his earlier investments and discovered room for improvement. This started a cycle of patience, knowledge and reward with a strong focus on emotional control.
Soon, his hard work brought results. During the 2021 bull cycle, he discovered several opportunities across market verticals. He invested in high-volatility assets, such as meme coins like Dogecoin and Shiba Inu, while maintaining long-term positions in Bitcoin and Ethereum. His balanced approach allowed him to grow through volatility, while his long-term investment secured his portfolio’s stability.
More importantly, he relied on his knowledge to create a phase of learning. His portfolio became his learning laboratory. With this, he gained first-hand experience in volatility, liquidity cycles, and investor psychology.
Over time, his strategies matured, and he gained a more profound understanding of market reality. He understood that people from rural backgrounds, those with regional-language education, were inadvertently excluded from financial and crypto education. He found that the lack of simple, relatable explanations was the core reason behind this lag.
To bridge this gap, he began creating educational content in Kannada on January 27, 2023. He chose to use simple language and real-life examples to connect to his audience. Raj initially focused on the Indian stock market, and slowly his content expanded to crypto markets and commodities, especially gold. The emphasis always remained on simplicity of understanding and not on short-term hype.
To date, he has educated over 1,500 students free of cost, many of whom now earn through commodity markets and crypto. Raj’s students have been earning in global markets while living in India, creating a personal milestone.
For Raj, a larger achievement lies in enabling others—especially first-time learners—to gain financial confidence and clarity.
