- Epstein files revealed early connections with a natal crypto industry, investing in early Coinbase and ZCash.
- His files also claimed to have lured “authors of Bitcoin”.
- However, there is no mention of Vitalik Buterin, suggesting a failure to trap him.
- However, he might have trapped a Russian crypto mogul.
Early Investor in Coinbase and ZCash
Files suggest that Epstein was an early investor in Coinbase, trying to forge relationships with the leaders of the crypto industry as early as 2014, with a $3 million investment. The Coinbase co-founder, Fed Ehrsam, was aware of this investment. During this period, several appointments were booked between Epstein and Coinbase executives.
These events took place almost 6 years after Epstein was already registered as a “Sex Offender” in Florida.
Further, in the case of ZCash, it was found that Epstein might have been responsible for the creation of Bitcoin, indicating that the hard fork that created ZCash could have its origins there. Privacy coins could have been used by Epstein for money laundering and making transactions untraceable.
It is also possible that Epstein might have tried for a further hard fork of ZCash for greater privacy. ZCash has optional privacy through its shielded feature.
Who were the “Authors of Bitcoin” in the Epstein Files?
There has been a mention about the “Authors of Bitcoin” in the Epstein Files. These people could be either of the following:
- Satoshi Nakamoto
- Bitcoin Early Contributors: Adam Back, Gavin Andresen, Hal Finney, Len Sassaman
- Bitcoin Core Contributors
In any case, Epstein was aware of the potential of Bitcoin (privacy and decentralization) and its ability to create a multi-trillion-dollar market.
Fails to Trap Vitalik Buterin
A name called Masha Drokova appears in the Epstein Files when we searched about Vitalik Buterin, saying she (Masha) found a “better Vitalik” in Russia. This phrase suggests that Epstein tried to trap Vitalik but failed, leading to the search for an alternative.

Masha’s other connection (name redacted) was promised a scholarship in the US if their candidates helped with the “biz” (business) of Epstein.
