In today’s user-centred market, which prioritises performance, choice, and security, it has assembled a comprehensive set of features, competitive fees, and a very user-friendly interface, making it the go-to place for crypto enthusiasts worldwide.

History of Bybit’.

By 2018 founder Ben Zhou and a team of professionals from the traditional finance world came together to found Bybit. We see early on in the company’s growth that they identified a gap in the crypto market which large scale derivatives products were under represented. From the start it has been a player in the space of Bitcoin futures with a platform which is very much oriented to the wants of crypto traders which include very fast order execution and very deep order books.

From the start Bybit stood out for its technology. We saw a matching engine that processed large volumes of orders with great speed and which had very little lag, which in turn made the exchange very attractive to derivatives traders. Also not long after launch in 2020 we saw the introduction of a mobile app which in turn broadened the user base to include those that prefer to trade on the go.

Over time Bybit broadened its product line beyond derivatives. By 2021 the platform had introduced spot trading, savings products, and staking which in turn saw the company transform into a full fledged crypto ecosystem from just a derivatives play. Today the platform serves users in over 160 195 countries and supports hundreds of cryptocurrencies across many different markets.

Despite regulatory issues in some regions which see the EU’s Economic Area for instance aligning to MiCA rules and the U.S., Singapore and the UK introducing their own restrictions it is still very much at it in terms of innovation and compliance.

In what we have to offer at Bybit .

It may be that Bybit has the largest service array of any crypto exchange. We see a transformation of the platform from which it was focused mainly on derivatives to a full scale ecosystem which includes trading, earning, investing and in some cases already spending crypto. Also we report which of the key services on the platform are:.

Point of Trade.

Spot trading is a basic service Bybit provides. In spot markets Bybit’s users are able to trade cryptocurrencies at present market values. It supports hundreds of trading pairs which include major coins like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH) and many altcoins.

What sets Bybit’s spot market apart is its:.

  • Fast execution times
  • Intuitive trading platform for all skill levels.
  • Access to a large variety of assets.

Unlike in derivatives trading, in spot trading you have actual ownership of the crypto asset which means you can hold coins in your wallet or transfer them as you wish.

Options and Forwards.

Bybit first made waves in crypto derivatives, and that is still what Bybit does best. We see under their derivatives products they have:.

  • Perpetual contracts
  • Quarterly futures contracts
  • Inverse and linear contracts

These products allow for speculation on price movement of assets which you do not actually own. Bybit’s hallmark is leverage which some of their derivatives have in very large scales for the experienced trader.

Bybit’s state of the art derivatives platform which is used by high frequency traders and also institutions because:.

  • Deep liquidity
  • Robust risk management systems
  • Support for complex order types

Derivatives trading is a high risk activity which we see play out in particular with high leverage issues, but at the same time it is the platform’s most active segment.

Bybit which offers to earn and passive income products.

Not all have an active trading strategy. To which our users’ interest is in the passive growth of their crypto assets, Bybit has a range of “Earn” products.

Flexible and Fixed Savings: Users put in assets and earn interest. Flexible savings enable you to withdraw at any time, with fixed savings locking in your funds for greater return.

Staking: Bybit supports staking on many networks which includes Ethereum and also other proof of stake tokens. Users put their crypto forward to support network security which in turn they get rewards for.

Dual Asset Investments: This product reports performance based on the market movement of two assets. Results are a function of price action within a given time frame.

Liquidity Mining: Users may add their own liquidity to pools and earn out of it which in turn is a very popular thing for people that wish to support decentralized finance (DeFi) systems.

These products range in return from low to high income opportunities which also bear different levels of risk.

Four Copy Trading and Trading Bots also which include.

Not all traders wish to create their own strategies from the ground up. Bybit’s copy trading feature which is a part of our platform allows users to follow and replicate the trades of successful traders in real time. We have removed the barrier to entry for complex strategies which is very much the case for beginners.

Also Bybit has automated trading bots which carry out trading strategies for users. Popular bot types include

  • Grid bots — buy low, sell high.
  • Dollar cost averaged bots — Over time.
  • Martingale systems — increase position size after losses in an attempt to catch rebounds.

These are configurable to do so on spot or futures markets.

Non-Fungible Token Marketplace.

In addition to financial products Bybit has an NFT market place which is available for users to buy, sell and trade in digital collectibles that usually come with high gas fees on networks like Ethereum. We see in our marketplace art, gaming NFT’s and other digital assets.

This is what we at Bybit have expanded into the world of Web3 digital assets.

Bybit’s Card.

Bybit has introduced the Bybit Card in association with Mastercard which enables our users to turn crypto into fiat at the point of sale and use digital assets at millions of global merchants.

This is that step which brings crypto into the everyday financial world making it more spendable.

Peer to Peer Trading and Fiat Services.

Bybit into the P2P trading space which allows their users to buy and sell crypto directly with each other we see a lot of that which is local fiat currency based. We also see that which is different from going through the bank for direct fiat deposits, in the P2P market on Bybit you choose your own payment methods out and also have the ability to negotiate price in real time with the counterparty and Bybit acts as the escrow.

This increases access for users in areas which have little to no direct bank transfer services.

Institutional Services and Interfaces.

For professional and institutional traders, at Bybit we present

  • API integrations for algorithmic trading
  • OTC desks with competitive pricing
  • Institutional lending and liquidity programs
  • Custom reporting and risk systems

These services we have designed for large scale traders and institutions which in turn helps Bybit to expand its user base beyond retail users.

Fees and Rates.

By which it is meant that Bybit’s fee structure is out in the open and designed to put forward better terms for active traders and large volume users.

Trade Fees.

By time we are adding or removing liquidity to the order book Bybit charges different fees which is the structure of their maker taker fee model.

Spot Trading: Starter fee for non-VIP users is in the range of 0.1% for both makers and takers.

Derivatives Trading: Perpetual and futures contracts see base maker fees of around 0.02% and taker fees of around 0.055%.

Options Trading: Fees are low which are usually at the mark of 0.03% for maker and taker.

VIP members that have higher trading volume or asset balance are able to get much lower fees which some tiers report near zero maker fees and reduced taker fees.

Transaction fees for deposits and withdrawals.

Crypto Deposits: Free of charge for on-chain deposits; no fee from Bybit itself.

Fiat Deposits: Fees for services which are provided and forms of payment which they accept may differ and also at the point of purchase you will see these.

Withdrawals: Fees are a result of network costs of the blockchain which is used. For instance with Bitcoin and Ethereum we see set fees that are a result of network processing rather than exchange profit.

Other Charges.

Funding Fees: Perpetual contracts which at regular intervals based on market conditions.

Liquidation Fees: When positions are closed out automatically.

Interest on Loans: When using Bybit’s lending products interest applies.

As a whole Bybit’s fees are competitive in the industry which also extends to frequent and high volume traders.

Differences at Bybit.

By differentiating itself from many other exchanges Bybit has put in place a few key features which also extend the platform’s utility.

High Speed Liquidity.

Bybit has an infrastructure designed for speed and reliability which handles large volumes at very little latency, a key feature for active traders.

Transparency and Reserve proofs.

Bybit is a platform which reports its Proof of Reserves regularly and in doing so which reports also on the balance of its assets in relation to user deposits, a step that increases trust in the crypto community.

Large selection of tools.

From robot traders to which also include copy trading and advanced order types, Bybit has what you need whether you are a beginner or professional trader.

Ecosystem of Trading.

With NFT markets, P2P exchanges, and a crypto debit card, Bybit is not just a trading platform, it is a full-scale crypto economy solution.

How to Sign Up for an account.

Getting into Bybit is easy:

  • Choose to register with us using your email or mobile number.
  • Enter in your information and also come up with a strong password.

  • Once it is verified your account is at your disposal.

After which you can fund your account with crypto or fiat (based on what is available in your region) and then trade or use Bybit’s other services.

Know Your Customer Requirements.

Bybit has in place Know Your Customer (KYC) policies which are put forward for compliance with international financial rules, reduction of fraud, and also to raise withdrawal limits.

There is usually a tiered system of verification.

Non-KYC: Access is limited; also which functions are available is very basic.

Standard Individual Verification: Includes the majority of trading features, deposits, and moderate withdrawal limits.

Advanced/Pro Verification: Opens up higher withdrawal limits and also includes extra features.

Business Verification: For business customers with tailored access.

Completing KYC increases security and access to Bybit’s full range of services, also it is a requirement for fiat-related products and higher withdrawal limits.
